Who am I?

My name is Leen Vandenbosch, founder of Buck on Track.

The health challenges with my own horses led me on a profound quest for sustainable and natural recovery.

I combine that knowledge with my knowledge of plants and herbs.

My journey with plants started as a child in my father's vegetable garden and expanded as I discovered the power of herbs more and more in my own life and for my (care) horses.

The nameBuck on trackmeans to me:

  • for my own horse Buck that I was able to bring back "on track,"
  • but also for "a buck," a little goat back on the path. The little goat that I like to offer my clients, away from worries, back to balance.

Ithoroughly educated myself in nutrition and herbs and natural recovery for horses and learned to critically look beyond fads and quick solutions.

Today I connect nature and evidence-based knowledge in an approach that works towards balance in the body. Because when that is right, symptom treatment is unnecessary.

With clear and honest advice and targeted guidance, I help horses stand sustainably in their strength.

My background

From a young age, I was active within LRV and took care of the horses I was allowed to compete with. This gave me valuable practical experience with a BWP breeder and farmer, where I discovered the power and impact of pure, thoughtful nutrition and the effect of nutrition on performance.

My learning path

Caring for my own horses, Buck and Indigo, led me to a training in natural health, which I supplemented with intensive self-study. I attended targeted masterclasses and training weekends on topics such as skin issues, the young horse, horse dissection, blood testing in horses, horse anatomy,...

My plant journey began as a child in my father's vegetable garden and deepened through a year-long course in foraging and herbalism. I strongly believe in the power of plants, when used correctly and at the right time. This is the essence of myrecovery plans.

Buck on track at events

Buck on Track is regularly present at events, lectures, and horse-focused fairs. There, I share my vision on natural nutrition, herbs, and the horse's ability to recover, always supported by evidence and critically examined.

Topics such as“The magic and pitfalls of herbs for your horse”and“Natural nutrition: from wild horse to domesticated horse”bring nuance to a world full of fads. With great passion, I share my practical experience and summarize it in practical tips that you can apply at home.

Of course, I also bring the products from the webshop and you can ask for advice on the products on thewebshop. On the contact page, you can find a list of my upcoming events every month.

Foraging

A constant feature during my lectures are the wild herbs that I share with you. You can find them in and around the stable or pasture — plants that you can safely and practically use right away.

I like to guide horse lovers beyond trends and quick fixes, towards thoughtful choices.
